Calendar 

This page shows the calendar for the course 2026-2027, according to the UPM regulations. We should point out the following periods and days:

Pre-enrollment

For the pre-enrollment and enrollment periods are published in the UPM web page: LINK. The master of Materials Engineering is a master Type "Anexo I".

Periods of lectures

The student should take note of the following periods of lectures:

• Lectures of the first semester: from September 2, 2026 to December 22, 2026.

• Lectures of the second semester: from February 1, 2027 to May 27, 2027.

Periods of exams

The calendar of exams has the following periods:

• Regular exams period of the first semester: from January 7 to January 26, 2027.

• Regular exams period of the second semester: from May 28 to June 16, 2027.

• Extraordinary exams period of both semesters: from June 24 to July 14, 2027.

Schedule changes

For balancing the number of lectures between subjects, a series of schedule changes have been programmed:

• Wednesday, November 4th 2026 will run on a Monday schedule

• Thursday, December 3rd 2026 will run on a Monday schedule.

• Tuesday, December 15th 2026 will run on a Monday schedule.

Holidays and non-working days

Also the student should take note of the following holidays (national, regional and university dates):

• Columbus Day: 12th October 2026 (Monday)

• All Saints' Day: 2nd November 2026 (Monday)

• Local holiday: 9th November 2026 (Monday)

• UPM Conecta activities: 19th and 20th November 2026 (Thursday and Friday)

• Nationwide holiday: 7th December 2026 (Monday)

• Nationwide holiday: 8th December 2026 (Tuesday)

• Beginning of Christmas holidays: 23rd December 2026 (Wednesday)

• End of Christmas holidays: 6th January 2027 (Wednesday)

• St Thomas Aquinas Day: 28th January 2027 (Thursday)

• Beginning of the Lectures of the second semester: 1st February 2027 (Monday)

• Beginning of Easter holidays: 20th March 2027

• UPM Conecta activities: 15th and 16th March 2027 (Monday and Tuesday)

• End of Easter holidays (lectures resuming this day): 30th March 2027

• Workers' day: 1st May 2027 (Saturday)

• Local holiday: 3rd May 2027 (Monday)

• Santo Domingo de la Calzada´s festivity day: 14 May 2027 (Friday)

• San Isidro Labrador (Patron Saint of Madrid) festivity day: 15 May 2027 (Saturday)

• End of lectures: 27th May 2027 (last day of lectures)
